Hemochromatosis Awareness Month

Hemochromatosis Awareness Month

Iron is necessary for transporting oxygen in the blood from the lungs to other cells in your body. Maintaining proper levels of iron is crucial for your body to function properly. If the body does not have enough iron it results in an iron-deficiency anemia and if the body has an overload of iron it is known as hemochromatosis.
